Frequently Asked Questions

What does the process look like? All image data is processed automatically by selecting an asset type when uploading, and prior to scheduling for processing. There are currently 38 different asset types (and growing) so you can become very precise with the automated processing parameters when sending data to be processed. When processing is complete, you will receive an email with a link to login and review your project in the gNext platform – the link you received was a ‘share link’ that you can create and provide to others so they can access a model without a login.

Yes. Any project can be shared with others through an invitation. Permissions allowed are view only or edit capable properties.

There are a variety of price offerings depending on your needs. You can select either month to month or annual models (for additional savings), across several different feature and volume offerings. No long term commitment and you can cancel at any time. Please see the Plans page for more details.

gNext Labs supports and recommends Google Chrome and Firefox.

Nothing needs to be downloaded to use the gNext Platform. All that is necessary on your system is a supported web browser and internet connection.

Depending on the plan selected, the available model types available are PlanView, Elevation, 3D, Contour, Point Cloud and DTM.

Depending on the plan selected, the supported file export types are JPEG, DFX, GeoTIFF, LAZ and OBJ.

A view-only user is a named user in the platform who can see and access all projects they have been invited to. They are able to make measurements but cannot save them or make any changes to the project. This is the typical way to provide access to customers who have access to multiple projects.

A view-only link enables a user to access a single model (per link) without signing into the platform. They are able to make measurements but cannot save them or make any changes to the project. This is the typical way to provide ‘one off’ access to a contractor or single project user.

If you do not need change capability, then a view-only link is a very effective way to present a project.

An Admin user can invite other users to a project in addition to having full Editor user rights. An Editor can make modifications (save annotations, measurements, etc) but cannot invite other users to a project. We currently do not require registration of a specific computer with an account, relying on our customers to manage this process internally.

The Enterprise Entry level plan provides for enough data to process approximately 50,000 12MP images or 30,000 images 20MP images.
